One of the most common questions we get is 'how much will this cost?' Here are honest price ranges for the most common garage door repairs in Massachusetts as of 2026.
Spring replacement: $520-$1,100. Price depends on door size, weight, spring specifications, and whether one or both springs need replacing. We recommend replacing both springs together on a two-spring system when one breaks.
Cable repair: $395-$600. Cables can fray or snap due to age, rust, or a broken spring. This is a safety-critical repair since cables under tension are dangerous. Never attempt this yourself.
Opener repair or replacement: A component repair may be enough for a failed gear or circuit board. Replacement installation runs $700-$1,649, depending on the model and wiring. We compare the repair quote with a suitable replacement before you decide.
Roller replacement: $425-$500. Worn rollers cause noise and rough operation. Upgrading from steel to nylon rollers can reduce operating noise.
Panel replacement: $500-$1,500. Pricing depends on the door brand, panel size, and whether the panel is still manufactured. Sometimes a full door replacement is more cost-effective than replacing multiple panels.
Track realignment: $295-$550. Bent or misaligned tracks cause binding and uneven movement. We check the cause before recommending realignment or replacement.
What affects pricing: Door size (single vs. double), parts needed, door age and brand, and whether additional components are worn. We do not add emergency or same-day surcharges.
