Attached garage or room above the garage
Compare insulated construction along with perimeter sealing and the rest of the garage. Door insulation alone cannot guarantee a warmer room or a specific energy saving.

How long does a new garage door installation take?+
A standard 16x7 double door installation runs 4-6 hours. Single 9x7 doors take 3-4 hours. That includes old-door removal, new-door install, opener setup or transfer, spring tensioning, balance testing, and hauling away the old materials at no extra charge.
What's the best garage door for a Massachusetts home?+
For our climate, we recommend insulated steel doors with R-12 or higher (Clopay Gallery, Garaga Standard+, Amarr Hillcrest). They handle freeze-thaw cycles, resist denting, and cut garage heat loss noticeably. For aesthetic homes we also install carriage-house styles and full-view glass. We'll walk through the trade-offs during your estimate.
How much does a new garage door cost?+
A single-car door (9' x 7') runs $1,678 to $8,080 installed and a double (16' x 7') runs $2,456 to $13,081, depending on the collection, insulation level, windows and hardware. Do you remove and dispose of the old door?+
Yes, included at no extra charge. We disconnect the opener, dismantle the old door, recycle steel sections, and haul everything off your property. You won't have any cleanup to do.
